The Rosary Challenge for Vocations has increased from 1,200 to 12,000 by year end; we have 4,000 to go. Participating in the Rosary Challenge is easy. Pray a rosary yourself or with a group (1 rosary prayed with 10 people = 10 rosaries), log on to Facebook and go to the Called North page, and simply leave a comment on the pinned post at the top of the page or, if Facebook isn’t your cup of tea, then email your monthly total to [email protected] and we’ll accumulate and submit them for you. St. Ann’s cordially invites St. Joseph members to come and enjoy their Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, October 2, beginning at 3:00 pm. In January the vocations team, including Fr. David, challenged the parishes of the Diocese to pray 1,200 rosaries for vocations this year. The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Sawyer County is being planned as an in-person event during Hayward’s Fall Fest on September 25. The event will include a SuperHero 5K walk/ run, Kids SuperHero Scamper, luminaria and drawings. Luminaria in honor of cancer survivors, those battling cancer and remembered loved ones will be displayed along the start of the Relay SuperHero 5K Walk/Run. Suggested donation is $10 each. Devotional materials are available on the table at the entrance of Church Mon through Friday including Rosaries, Prayer Patches, Holy Water, Holy Cards, Bulletins, and Devotional Reading pamphlets. You are welcome to help yourself to these items.
Our “Meet Six” Committee is busy planning the next social so please mark your calendar right now for September 11 immediately following the 4:00 pm Mass. Everyone is invited, including children, regardless of whether or not the meet six challenge has been met.
The dedication of St. Joseph/St. Ann Columbarium and bronze sculpture will take place after the 10:15 am Mass on September 19. A reception will follow. All are welcome.
