A lunch fundraiser (entirely take-out) prepared by Steve Menke will be held at First Lutheran Church from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. on September 2. Cost of lunch and beverage is $14 per meal and pre-orders are required as quantities are limited. Email [email protected] to place your order. Pop-up flyers are located on the bulletin board in the church.

A big thank you to everyone who attended our first “Meet Six Social” on August 14. Word is spreading quickly about how much fun it is, so mark your calendar right now for September 11; we don’t want you to miss out on the next big and different event.

Do you volunteer in any way at St. Joseph or would like to find out more about volunteer opportunities? Are you unsure if you’re considered a volunteer? Some examples of participating as a volunteer include making prayer shawls and rosaries, being a Eucharistic Minister, a Catechist, an Usher, a Greeter, a Server, helping with the funeral lunches, the Sunday Socials and Wednesday evening Meals, bringing baby bags to new moms as part of the Elizabeth Ministry, helping to decorate the Church at Christmas, helping to maintain our Campus in any way such as light bulb changes and event setup/teardown, helping in the office, assisting with our website, reading at Mass, making alterations and sewing repairs, sending valentine cards to the homebound, leading Bible studies, participating in one of our Choirs, helping to lead the Stations of the Cross, volunteering during Holy Week, assisting with youth events….the list goes on and on. In appreciation, our Parish staff would like to invite all volunteers and anyone thinking of volunteering for an appreciation event at The Steakhouse on Aug 26 at 5:00 pm for appetizers and cheer.
