The Casimir Tyminski Scholarships are being offered by the Knights of Columbus for students from St. Joseph and St. Ann parishes who have completed one year or more of post secondary education. Scholarship applications are available at the parish offices at St. Joseph and St. Ann in Cable, as well as on St. Joseph’s website, stjoseph-hayward.org/knights-ofcolumbus. Calling all of our volunteers, and anyone interested in volunteering here at St. Joseph. God has blessed us with a wonderful Parish with so many people who, through their volunteer efforts, make it that way. Carmel anyone attending Mass this weekend will have the opportunity after Mass to be enrolled in the Brown Scapular by Father David. The Brown Scapular is a gift to you from your Heavenly Mother, Mary. Please stay after Mass to receive a Brown Scapular and be enrolled or to reenroll; you will also receive a document with the eligibility for the scapular promise.
All are welcome to join St. Ann’s at their annual picnic bash after 5:45 pm Mass sponsored by the Parish Life & Outreach Committee. They are serving brats, burgers, hot dogs, sauerkraut, potato salad, beans, beverages…...and more. Free will donations will be accepted.

Jerry Dumas passed away on July 2 and Harry Watts on July 7 . Jerry’s funeral is being planned for August 21 and Harry’s for this Friday, July 16. Please keep Jerry and Harry and their families and friends in your prayers.
The Northwoods Community Food Shelf has been fundraising for a garage/storage addition to their facility at the Spider Lake Church Youth Center. They will be serving tacos on Thursday, July 15, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, $2.00/each, eat in or carry out. They are located at 11255N State Hwy. 77, Hayward. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Elizabeth Ministry will begin our 9th program of Spiritual Adoption on the weekend of July 24 and 25. Those wishing to participate may sign up/receive more information at the Rosebud/Spiritual Adoption Table after the Masses. Our last Spiritual Adoption started just as the lockdowns began and participation was limited. I hope we can do better this time

In heartfelt appreciation for all the support given to the Knights of Columbus during the Pandemic, a cookout will take place on Sunday, July 11, from 7:30 am to noon. Please join in the festivities which will include coffee, juice, hamburgers and hot dogs. We hope to see you there so we can express our gratitude in person.
We are excited to announce that we will once again offer the Sunday Social after all 10:15 am Masses beginning July 18. Several groups have stepped up to offer this long-awaited tradition to all our parishioners and guests, but we are still looking for some volunteers to help out. This would be the perfect opportunity to get to know more people and to assist in a fun ministry. Please contact the parish office if you can get three or four of your closest friends to agree to help out.
