Our good friends, George Drier and Paul McDonald, passed away; George on June 16 and Paul on June 18. Please keep George and Paul as well as their families and friends in your prayers.

A year ago an email prayer chain was established for all funerals that take place at St. Joseph Church. If you would like to have your email added to the list, please contact Mary in the parish office. Once Email Prayer Chain for Funerals on the list you will receive the name of the recently deceased, along with the date and time of their funeral at St. Joseph (although we will respect the wishes of families who desire to keep the funeral of their loved one private). Once on the list, you are asked to please keep the deceased and their families in your daily prayers, especially for the days surrounding the funeral. You will not receive any other correspondence from this email list other than the basic updates on funerals. This is another way we can continue to support grieving brothers and sisters in their time of need.

God our Father, We give you thanks and praise for fathers young and old. In celebration, we will be giving a special gift to dads next weekend after each Mass and serving root beer floats to all after the 10:15 Mass on Sunday.

Have you ever really wanted to be part of one of St. Joseph’s ministries and didn’t know just which one to choose? Here is an opportunity to find out if being a Sacristan, Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Camera Operator, Usher or Greeter is right for you. We are always accepting donations of non-perishable items for the food shelf. There is a bin in the back of the church where you may leave your donations. Thank you for your generosity!

Our good friend, Tom Devereaux, passed away on June 1. Please keep Tom, his family and friends in your prayers.

The Knights of Columbus are holding their annual Tootsie Roll drive this weekend, June 5 and June 6. They will be offering them after all the Masses. All proceeds will go to support Ventures Unlimited here in Hayward. The Knights ask you for your support and enjoy the Tootsie Roll!
