Our good friends, George Drier and Paul McDonald, passed away; George on June 16 and Paul on June 18. Please keep George and Paul as well as their families and friends in your prayers.
A year ago an email prayer chain was established for all funerals that take place at St. Joseph Church. If you would like to have your email added to the list, please contact Mary in the parish office. Once Email Prayer Chain for Funerals on the list you will receive the name of the recently deceased, along with the date and time of their funeral at St. Joseph (although we will respect the wishes of families who desire to keep the funeral of their loved one private). Once on the list, you are asked to please keep the deceased and their families in your daily prayers, especially for the days surrounding the funeral. You will not receive any other correspondence from this email list other than the basic updates on funerals. This is another way we can continue to support grieving brothers and sisters in their time of need.
It is with a great deal of pleasure that I am able to let you know that St. Joseph Parish has met their CSA goal for 2020-21 in spite of the difficulties of this past year for many of us. Thank you so much for your generosity, support and prayers.
God our Father, We give you thanks and praise for fathers young and old. In celebration, we will be giving a special gift to dads next weekend after each Mass and serving root beer floats to all after the 10:15 Mass on Sunday.
As you know, our parking lot was in desperate need of replacement and, finally, this project has been completed. Due to the hot weather we’re giving the new blacktop another week to setup before parking on it. We expect it to be open for use next weekend. Thank you to everyone for your patience and for all of the generous donations.

This collection will take place the weekend of June 19 and 20. It provides funding for Catholic initiatives in Wisconsin and the United States, including: Retired Religious Fund—funding for sisters and all religious institutes in need, Catholic Communications—finding new ways to deliver the gospel message in today’s digital age, Campaign for Human Development—provides national grants for low-income communities to fund programs addressing the root causes of poverty, Archdiocese for the Military Services—initiative to grant support for Church ministry for Catholics serving in the armed forces, Catholic University of America—offers students an excellent education in a faith-filled atmosphere grounded in Catholic intellectual tradition. Your generosity and prayers support these initiatives.
Have you ever really wanted to be part of one of St. Joseph’s ministries and didn’t know just which one to choose? Here is an opportunity to find out if being a Sacristan, Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Camera Operator, Usher or Greeter is right for you. Please contact JoAnn Evans at 715-634-1726 if you are interested. We need your help! We would also like to express our appreciation to those who have stepped up during this transition period to fill those spots.
Great news! We get to have Mass here everyday next week! We will be hosting Totus Tuus next week, 6/14-18. Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph daily at 11:15am; Mon-Fri. This will replace all regularly scheduled weekday Masses at St. Joseph and St. Ann. All are welcome to attend. Please note that there will be no weekday Confessions.
We are always accepting donations of non-perishable items for the food shelf. There is a bin in the back of the church where you may leave your donations. Thank you for your generosity!
The Knights of Columbus are holding their annual Tootsie Roll drive this weekend, June 5 and June 6. They will be offering them after all the Masses. All proceeds will go to support Ventures Unlimited here in Hayward. The Knights ask you for your support and enjoy the Tootsie Roll!
