General Dispensation from the Sunday Obligation to Attend Mass Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases throughout our Diocese, Bishop James Powers has granted “the Catholic faithful throughout the Diocese of Superior a general dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass. This dispensation will remain in force until further notice.” Please be aware that Bishop Powers is NOT issuing a closure of public Masses on Sundays and weekdays. The Church will be closed and there will be no weekday Mass this Thursday, 11/26 and Friday, 11/27. Our normal schedule resumes on Saturday, 11/28 with the Sacrament of Reconciliation from 3-3:45pm and Mass at 4pm.

The Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is Tuesday, Dec 8th. This is a Holy Day of Obligation and Mass times are 9am at St. Ann and 12 noon and 5:30pm at St. Joseph. Prepare by praying the Novena for 9 days prior, Nov 29 to Dec 7. The prayer is available in Church and on our website. This Advent try to slow down, turn inward, and prepare for Jesus to arrive. Many reflection resources are available. The Little Blue Books will be available for pickup next week. We have several youth planning to attend the upcoming Discipleship Retreat next weekend. The theme this year is “Jesus, I trust in you”. Please pray this retreat helps all attendees grow in their faith and strengthen their willingness to grow as disciples of Jesus.
