Do you volunteer in any way at St. Joseph or would like to find out more about volunteer opportunities? Are you unsure if you’re considered a volunteer? Some examples of participating as a volunteer include making prayer shawls and rosaries, being a Eucharistic Minister, a Catechist, an Usher, a Greeter, a Server, helping with the funeral lunches, the Sunday Socials and Wednesday evening Meals, bringing baby bags to new moms as part of the Elizabeth Ministry, helping to decorate the Church at Christmas, helping to maintain our Campus in any way such as light bulb changes and event setup/teardown, helping in the office, assisting with our website, reading at Mass, making alterations and sewing repairs, sending valentine cards to the homebound, leading Bible studies, participating in one of our Choirs, helping to lead the Stations of the Cross, volunteering during Holy Week, assisting with youth events….the list goes on and on. In appreciation, our Parish staff would like to invite all volunteers and anyone thinking of volunteering for an appreciation event at The Steakhouse on Aug 26 at 5:00 pm for appetizers and cheer. An RSVP by Aug 19 is appreciated. RSVP via the sign up sheets outside Mary’s office or by calling the office at 715-634-2867.
