Black & Indian Mission Collection—March 6 The National Black and Indian Mission Collection provided several million dollars in assistance last year. This past year our Diocese received $50,000 in funding to aid our northern Wisconsin missions. Every Catholic person, regardless of age, can play a part in the evangelization programs of the Church by contributing to this collection. Please use the envelope provided in your packet and for those who do not receive envelopes place your donation in an envelope marked Black & Indian Missions. Thank you!
Upcoming Prayer Workshop—March 6 & 10 Come and learn or be rejuvenated in this ancient practice which is resurfacing today as a wonderful way to meditate on God’s Word. Lectio Divina is another great way to increase your intentional prayer time this Lent. The workshops will be offered in the Parish Center on Sunday morning, March 6, from 8:30—10:00am and Thursday, March 10, from 5:00—6:30pm. Both workshops will contain the same content so pick the time that works best for you. All are welcome, Catholic and non-Catholics alike, adults and children.
Save the Dates!! 5th Annual Fish Fry-March 11 and April 1 St. Joseph will be hosting our 5th Annual Fish Fry on March 11 and April 1 from 4:30 to 7:30 pm. Carry-outs will also be available this year. This event is open to the community so spread the word. Proceeds will be donated to Northwoods New Life Resource Center.
Spaghetti Feed Thank You! We would like to extend a special thanks for the wonderful help and support to all the amazing volunteers as we undertook the challenge of making the Birkie 2022 Spaghetti Feed here at St. Joe’s a success. They say it “Takes a Village…” and the St. Joe’s community proves to be the best village! We would also like to thank Market Place Foods for their generous donation of 140 pounds of salad mix! Operation Rice Bowl provides the resources to bring Lenten spirituality to life for families, parish, and school communities while connecting Catholics in our Diocese with our brothers and sisters in need around the world. 75% of your gifts supports Catholic Relief Services relief work in 100 countries and 25% remains within our dioceses. Rice bowls are provided at the entrances to the Church.
