Novena to the Holy Spirit—May 27 All parishioners are encouraged to take part in the spiritual preparations for Pentecost, the birthday of the Church, by participating in the Novena to the Holy Spirit. The novena in honor of the Holy Spirit is the oldest of all novenas since it was first made at the direction of Our Lord Himself when He sent His apostles back to Jerusalem to await the coming of the Holy Spirit on the first Pentecost. The novena starts on Friday, May 27 and ends on Saturday, June 3. Copies of the novena are available at the Main and Church Hall entrances.
Feast of the Ascension—May 29 The Solemnity of the Lord’s Ascension was transferred to the 7th Sunday of Easter. The Ascension of the Lord, therefore, is observed on Sunday, May 29, to allow a greater number of people to celebrate the feast.
Eucharistic Revival June 2022 The United States Bishops believe that God wants to see a movement of Catholics across the United States, healed, converted, formed, and unified by an encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist—and sent out in mission “for the life of the world.” Check out the diocesan plan on their website; catholicdos.org.
