Please pray for Fr. Karun as he travels home to India from August 21 to September 29. May God bless Father Karun and his family with every heavenly blessing and give him a safe journey. My holy Angel Guardian, ask the Lord to bless the journey Father Karun will undertake, that it may profit the health of his soul and body; that he may reach its end, and that, returning safe and sound, may he find his family in good health. Do thou guard, guide and preserve us all. Amen.
Pope Francis has expressed his deep sadness at “the loss of life and the destruction caused by the wildfires” in Hawaii and has assured those affected by the fires of his prayers. Bishop Powers has asked all parishes to participate in a special collection to where all funds will be directed to the Hawaii Catholic Community Foundation to support the relief efforts of our fellow community members affected by the Maui wildfires. This is an opportunity for us to show our solidarity as a Catholic faith community and lend a helping hand to those who have lost so much. Please turn in any donations to your parish office or drop it in the collection marked “Special Collection for Maui Wildfire Relief” by Sunday, August 27th.
