In Father David's letter to our parishes and in the homily on Feb. 26/27, we have been challenged to the One% Challenge for Lent!
This means either committing to 15 minutes of daily prayer OR increasing our current prayer by 15 minutes. Our exortation is for you to choose something and commit to it. There are countless ways and methods to pray and we have many resources to help you. Pick one or two and go for it! Check out this WORKSHEET (similar to the Lenten letter that was mailed) for you to plan how you will grow in prayer over the 40 days of Lent.
Also, see below for an overview of resources we are making available and some links to solid web or phone based resources.
"He who fails to plan is planning to fail."

Available at any of the entrances of church, you will find:
Diocese of Saginaw Little Black Books
Grab a "little black book" to follow along with daily scripture and reflections.
Life is Messy by Matthew Kelley
Spritual Reading each day can anchor our prayer and lead to profound reflections. Two short chapters a day would be a good Lenten pace for this easy and accessable book.
Evangelical Catholic 1% Challenge cards
With a guide to praying with scriptures (Lectio Divina), these cards contain the scrpture reference to the daily Gospel. Following the prompts to read, reflect, respond, and rest in the Gospel will allow a space for God to speak into your life through His Word.
The Word Among Us
Based on the daily readings, these reflections are similar resource to the Little Black Books. Some folks have been using this for years, perhaps this Lent is your time to give it a try!
Prayer Cards
Referenced at Mass on Feb. 26/27 and Ash Wednesday, grab a parish prayer card to ground your day with a Morning Offering and then recenter on God later in the day by praying the Divine Praises.
