The Hayward Rotary Club and Hayward First Lutheran Church are collecting school supplies and backpacks. The items will be distributed to students who would otherwise start the school year without basic school supplies. The program also helps teachers who would otherwise reach into their own pockets to buy school supplies for students. Collection boxes are at the parish hall entrance and main entrance of the church.
