Community Service Opportunity—May 25
As a community service project, we have been asked, along with all of the other Hayward area churches, to help beautify our City by picking up the garbage along designated roads. This year, we have been given the stretch of Hwy 27 from Carol Drive to Fun Valley Road. We are asking you to help. Our pickup day is Wednesday, May 25, rain day Thursday, May 26. We will meet in the Church parking lot at 5pm, take a picture and then head to our area. All volunteers will be issued a yellow or orange safety vest. Please bring your own gloves. Garbage bags will be provided by the City. We expect this to take 60 to 90 minutes and we will have a treat for everyone at the Church when we return.
